Nawgan is genuinely concerned about the environment. One reason that we selected the aluminum can rather than plastic or glass is that aluminum provides an effective method to limit our carbon footprint. While most people are aware about the concerns of plastic bottles, glass has the disadvantage of weight and this significantly increases shipping weight and in turn shipping fuel. In fact, calculations show that shipping 1,000 glass bottles produces about 4 times the amount of carbon dioxide emissions compared to the same number of plastic bottles shipped the same distance.
The aluminum can also provides an effective barrier against UV light and air and both can degrade the ingredients when products sit on retail shelves waiting to be sold.
